Beaumont’s Eatery is celebrating dad with a boozy brunch and acoustic live music. The menu includes a delicious sounding “Steak n’ Eggs Sandwich” with fried eggs, shaved rib-eye, cambazola cheese and chiles with lettuce and red onion and a “Surf ‘n’ Turf Omelet” with lump crab, prosciutto, Brie and tomatoes. Downtown’s Acme Southern Kitchen is serving dad’s brunch favorites like chicken-fried steak and eggs, meatloaf hash and the restaurant’s signature macaroni ‘n’ cheese with layers upon layers of bacon and eggs. Herringbone La Jolla offers a two-course prix fix menu for dads plus bottomless “man-mosas.” The $30 or $40 menu includes a choice of raspberry brioche doughnuts, corn chowder, chilaquiles, lobster rolls, short-rib hash, albacore burgers and more. Reserve a table online.
Searsucker Downtown has a beer-braised bratwurst Benedict special with black-pepper biscuits, sautéed peppers and a mustard hollandaise. It’s a meatpolooza at Sea & Smoke, Urban Solace and Solace and the Moonlight Lounge. All three restaurants will be serving a prime-rib special with a classic béarnaise sauce and horseradish mashed potatoes all day long. Betty’s Pie Whole Saloon is serving up “The Man Munch Lunch” in Encinitas.
