All Grain home brewing: The mash (part 1 of 2)

This video continues where I left off from the last video on the 20 gallon brew day. The APA gets a standard single infusion mash at 150, and the Hefeweizen gets a protein rest at 122F for 35 minutes. After 35 minutes, I pull 4.25 gallons of the mash and do a decoction to bring the mash up to saccharification rest temperature at about 154 and let it rest for another 45 minutes.

I had hoped to get all of this done with one video, but I was at about 13 minutes so I decided to split it into two segments.

Stay tuned for the boil and hop additions.

Thanks for watching!
