Then we challenge them to show us.
We’re more interested in your ideas, expertise, and passions than we are in having you check a box in our list. If you want to write about the perfect hopps (or grape selection, or fermentation, or flavorings, or what you do with your pressings, or whatever), that’s possible, but we don’t want you to write about that just because we want you to, nor do we want you to write yet another article that’s just like the dozens of homebrew articles that exist in various forums already. We want you to write something you believe in.
Of course, we will work with you to help ensure that your article does the most important thing there is– help and inform someone. The first stage of that process has to be for us to hear about your ideas–not for you to hear about ours!
If you would like to contact us and get more information about writing, or existing publishing opportunities, we urge you to do so. Even if you have just a single question or a vague idea, we would be happy to respond to that, too. You may be surprised how a little brainstorming can really bring things together, and the vague idea can become the most interesting article or series of articles.
Drop us a line at editor -at- groupbuilder.com with the subject line “Writing for Beer or Wine” (snappy right?) and let’s talk. Please send links to any writing you have done in the past. We pay $15 for each 400-1000 word article accepted in our format. We would pay in beer or wine, but, well, you know…
