Chub Step Release at Half Acre
Half Acre Beer Company Tap Room, 4257 N Lincoln Ave., Chicago (773) 248-4038
At Half Acre, Chub Step Porter has become a welcome beer. Now, for the first time, we’re putting the chunk in bombers. Just like the real Chub, this beer welcomes cold weather at the door. “What’s that, there’s frost on the ground?” Enter the squat trotter; practically choad in dimension and grunting each breath into your life. He’s your low frequency chocolatier slowing the deep beats down to a drool. An array of chocolate and brown malts stew in their sweet tea before the Fuggle nation bitters the pot. An English yeast cheers its porter roots and molds the slurry into the delicate sauce we’ve come to know as Chub Step. Find the bottom of a couple porter pints and climb into the palm of this comfortable host. 6% ABV. 22 oz. bomber bottle: $6.99. 64 oz. growler refill: $15. 32 oz. growler refill: $8. 16 oz. draft: $5

This Fall the changing of the seasons marks a huge leap for CHAOS; our first club brewhouse was abruptly bulldozed into a pile of rubble, and our new brewhouse is slowly rising like a slumbering phoenix sprung into service. For our 3rd Annual Harvest Fest, we are embracing the Halloween spirit to put our old ghosts to bed, and get to know our new ones. Join us in pouring one out for the old brewhouse, and then raise a glass to our new home. Pardon the dust, blood, and gore, moving is Hell, ya know?
Our zombie brew crew is offering a true Harvest Ale cooked up a couple weeks ago at a hop farm downstate with freshly clipped cones. We have also recently harvested a couple hundred gallons of barrel aged ales when we were forced to leave the old brewhouse before the wrecking ball struck. The upside of the whole fiasco is we have a sweet new club brewhouse and tons of awesome hard cider, beer, and food to share, so let’s party pagan style!
Food, beverages, and a special haunted brewhouse are all included in your membership.
