Classes range from baby food to whiskey

Classes on homemade baby food, nutrition, beer and whiskey are among those scheduled at the Rochester Brainery.

>>”Homemade Baby Food,” 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, $22. The class will include feeding basics, preparation, storage, first foods and cereal.

>>”Nutrition, Simplified!” 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, $15. The class will stress real food, real portions, healthy choices.

>>”Making Beer at Home,” 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 25, $22. This class will introduce the basic techniques, processes, ingredients and equipment for making beer at home and the wide array of beer styles that are available. Students will sample raw ingredients, see a brewing demonstration, and sample a few different beer styles. For ages 21 and older.

>>”Whiskey Workshop,” 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 3, $30. Craft spirits, the kinds of whiskey created at the distillery, and the process of starting a craft distillery will be discussed. Craft cocktails will also be sampled during the class, which will be held at Black Button Distilling, 85 Railroad St.
