Fonthill to Host First-Ever Beer Fest
The event, to be held Aug. 23, will feature beer tastings, food and live music.
Fonthill Castle will host its first-ever Beer Fest on Aug. 23 from 2-5 p.m.
Guests will have the chance to sample drafts from around the country, enjoy light fare and live music at the grounds of the historic Fonthill castle.
Fonthill Castle Beer Fest participating breweries and home brewers include: Abita, Boxcar Brewing, Founders Brewing, Free Will Brewing, Harpoon, Lancaster Brewing Company, McKenzie Brew House, Prism, Round Guys Brewing Company, Susquehanna Brewing Company, Troegs, Victory Brewing Company and Weyerbacher.
The menu will include locally-prepared foods, including carne y queso with shredded brisket, vegetarian burritos with sweet potatoes and black beans, banh mi sliders and garden burger sliders. Hot Bijouxx, a jazz quartet, will perform live music.
The group performs an energetic mélange of Prohibition-era jazz, French gypsy swing-waltz, and Brazilian bossa nova. More information about Hot Bijouxx is available at hotbijouxx.com.
Tickets are $45 per person and $25 for designated drivers. Call 215-348-9461to make a reservation. All guests must be at least 21 and have a valid ID. All proceeds from the event support education programs at Fonthill Castle and the Mercer Museum.
