Craft beer events happening this weekend – Chicago Tribune Friday : Craft beer enthusiasts have three opportunities to sample rare limited-release beers this weekend, starting tonight at the annual Festive-Ale at Carmichael’s Chicago Steakhouse (1 052 W. Monroe ; 312-433-0025), where Evanston’s Temperance Beer Company will release a perfect-for-fall Few Spirits Rye barrel-aged porter version of their Root Down. Three Ace’s chef Matt Troost will also prepare duck rillettes with spiced peach butter and pickled mustard seed on spent grain crackers to pair with a double black ale from Michigan’s Greenbush Brewing Co. Ticket holders can expect other beer and food pairings from Bottle Fork, the Radler, Begyle Brewing, Flesk Brewing,and Haymarket Pub and Brewery. Tickets are still available at the door for $65 7 pm general admission, though VIP tickets ($100 apiece) get you in an hour early. Proceeds from the event benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation .
