Lansdale’s Round Guys Brewery to offer Kurant Ciders

Lansdale >> Round Guys Brewery will have several new offerings later this month.
The local brewery has partnered with Kurant Cider, a hand-crafted specialty brewer run by owners Joe Getz and Michael Meyers that will operate as an independent entity within Round Guys’ Lansdale brewery.
Kurant is known for ciders infused with pineapples and mosaic hops and is in the process of beginning production and distribution from the Lansdale site, where it will use space at Round Guys for a seven-barrel system for cider making, according to a Round Guys press release.
Getz and Meyers bring seven years of experience and backgrounds in home brewing and cider making, and plan to make tasty, enjoyable ciders incorporating unique ingredients, according to the release.
Their plans are to initially offer three ciders on tap at Round Guys: Daily, a semi-sweet crisp traditional cider with pleasant acidity; Tropic, a cider infused with a citrus explosion of pineapple blended with crisp apples; and Earth, a uniquely hopped cider carrying floral and piney characteristics of hops without the bitterness.
Kurant will bring gluten-free options to the current array of over a dozen Round Guys-brewed beers, local bottled meads from Stonekeep, Cardinal Hollow, and Colony meaderies, and bottled Karamoor wines. Located at 324 W. Main St. at the corner of Main and Courtland streets, Round Guys’ owners have been brewing beer at home since 2008 and opened their Lansdale location in 2012.
The menu at Round Guys also features dishes with local flavors including fresh Heath Bakery rolls, Pretzel Factory rivets, Bespoke bacon, Fathead Pepper shooters, along with brownies and cookies baked using spent grain from the brewing process.
