MINGAFEST: An afternoon of food, beer and wine tasting, live music, art…

The Oceanside Museum of Art, Oceanside Rotary Club and MainStreet Oceanside are throwing a MINGAFEST to be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014, between 1:00-4:00 pm at Oceanside Museum of Art and surrounding area. This event will showcase the talents of our very best regional wineries and craft brewers in addition to food from our top restaurants.  “Minga” is a word used by certain native South Americans which means “A coming together of people to work for the benefit of all”. A grand vision for North County is that our people can live and work in the most gratifying and fulfilling area in San Diego County. This is the shared vision born from a coming together of Oceanside Museum of Art, Oceanside Rotary Club and MainStreet Oceanside. It’s all about the art of building a healthy community via collaboration. To ignite this vision we are throwing a large MINGAFEST party for the entire community.Guests will enjoy wine, beer and food tastings from local artisans including 333 Pacific, Bull Taco, Crisproot, Flying Pig Pub & Kitchen, Los Tacos, Senor Grubby’s, Wrench and Rodent Seabasstropub, Beer Brewing Co., Golden Coast Mead, Latitude 33 Brewing Company, Oceanside Ale Works, O’Neill Honey Company, Stone Brewing Co., California Fruit Wine Co., Lush Coffee & Tea, Wiens Family Cellars and Witch Creek Winery, among others. For your entertainment, enjoy live music by the Giant Peach band, art performances, interactive art making and all exhibitions on view at OMA.MINGAFEST is a fundraising event that will support dozens of local nonprofits in North County. This event is planned and produced by volunteers; every dollar raised goes directly to supporting all participating nonprofits.
