Regular followers of this blog may have read THIS or THIS blog post regarding a beer that I had a hand in brewing.
For those not up to speed, it’s an India Pale Lager called MO that we brewed at Newstead Brewing Co to raise awareness and funds for men’s health.
I’m not biased when I say this but it tastes absolutely superb. Everybody involved is extremely pleased at the result. It’s simply bursting with ‘summer’ and has been sliding down many a throat for a week or so now across Brisbane and even as far as the Sunshine Coast!
It carries a strong stone fruit aroma and that fruitiness is carried into the beer itself along with a medium bitterness. It’s quenchability (is that even a word?) is second to none. I liken it to a bigger, stronger, hoppier version of Stone & Wood’s Pacific Ale. Totally different varieties of hops used of course but there’s something quite addictive to MO that makes you not want to put it down!
Well, tonight is the night that you, Brisbane, can pay whatever you want for a glass of it. Get yourself along to Woolly Mammoth on Ann Street in the Valley from 6.00pm as myself, the brew crew and the entire team from Newstead Brewing Mo will be there as the Mammoth team tap a karma keg. Come and say hello and check out the amazing beer we brewed. You’ll can help us raise some decent cash for charity too.
If you can’t make it, you can donate online HERE.
See you tonight!
