Nashville Craft Beer Week is Back, Bigger and Better.

Nashville Craft Beer Guide It’s time for another edition of Nashville Craft Beer Week, and boy, do the organizers have a busy schedule planned for next week, June 23-29. This all-volunteer effort brings together Nashville’s breweries, beer distributors, taprooms, growler fill shops, beer stores and beer-friendly restaurants for a week of glorifying the wonderful combinations of malts and hops that make the community of craft beer lovers feel so lucky to live in this town.
Brewers from across the country, the region and the city will be featuring their wares at tastings, tap takeovers and beer dinners at some of your favorite places. There are so many events, (almost 80 at last count) that it’s impossible to detail them all in this space. So check out the master schedule to figure out where you’ll be Uber-ing and Lyft-ing to and from next week.
Here are some of the Nashville Craft Beer Week highlights:
The annual City House Mystery Beer Dinner sold out in scant minutes, even without the attendees knowing what beers will be featured. Rest assured it will be awesome, and we look forward to hearing from lucky ticket-buyers about what was on tap and what Tandy Wilson and crew cooked up to pair with the brews.
But there are still plenty of interesting beer dinners with seats still available kicking off with a collaboration between Lockeland Table and Tennessee Brew Works on June 23, a Boscos Brewmaster’s Dinner on June 24, the Turtle Anarchy Beer Dinner at PM the same evening, and a Highland Brewing Company Beer Dinner at Burger Up in 12 South on June 25.
Three dinners are set fpr the 26th: a Bao Haus and Black Abbey Beer Dinner at Craft Brewed, an English Beer Dinner With Cask Beer Pairings at Cool Springs Brewery, and the Rivertown Brewing Company Beer Dinner at {PUB}licity in Bellevue.
Frothy Monkey and Jackalope are teaming up with the galleries on the Avenue of the Arts in Downtown for a beer dinner/art crawl they are calling Beer Love. The first course/beer pairing will be served at The Arts Company, followed by Course 2 at The Rymer Gallery, then Course 3 at Tinney Contemporary Courses. The final two courses will be served at a seated dinner at Frothy Monkey’s downtown location at 235 Fifth Ave. N.
Breweries that are participating in tap takeovers, happy hours and pint nights include: Lazy Magnolia, RJ Rockers, Founders Brewing, Oskar Blues, Yazoo, Fat Bottom, FInch’s, New Belgium, Lagunitas, SweetWater, Straight to Ale and Country Boy. For traveling tipplers, Matt Leff is firing up the Nashville Brew Bus on June 28 from 10:50 a.m. to 6 p.m., with plans to visit every distributing brewery in Nashville.
Home brewers will also get their share of attention with a novel East Nashville Home Brewers Tour on June 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. where $25 gets you a seat on the mini Brew Bus (no short-bus jokes here) to try some unique and distinct beers you won’t get at your local taproom. Transportation from Five Points, samples and a tasting glass are included in that price. (Well, I guess technically you shouldn’t be paying for the samples, so consider your money going toward the bus and that glass … )
This is just a sampling of all the beer sampling that will be going on next week, so plan your calendar and designated driver access accordingly, and appreciate just how much effort went into putting this week together. We are indeed lucky to have such a dedicated and hard-working craft beer community at all levels.-Nashville Scene reports
