We are recruiting for a Weekend Nightshift Brewing Supervisor to manage the shift operation across all required production hours through engagement, motivation, training and direction of team members. You will ensure effective execution of production and packaging plans to meet and exceed the requirements of the business. You will lead and encourage delivery of change initiatives through involvement and coaching of team members.
Sharp’s Brewery was founded in 1994 at Rock, Cornwall. The success and growth of our young Brewery has been phenomenal with Sharp’s now the largest brewer of cask conditioned beer in the South West ( Industry sources) and Sharp’s flagship brand Doom Bar is the No. 1 Cask Beer in the UK.
The Sharp’s brewing process incorporates all the best practices from Britain’s rich brewing heritage with modern high spec brewing equipment, food standard hygiene and industry leading environmental practices to produce the very highest quality beer. Job Duties include:-
Raising the performance towards zero errors in executing brewing procedures which leads to zero defects in process and products
Developing team’s skill levels demonstrated by assessment. Enabling staff to make contributions to Sharp’s Brewing effectiveness over and above execution of daily tasks
Ensuring that Brewing Team Members meet all health, safety and environment requirements of Molson Coors. Achieving continual improvement in health safety and environmental incident rates
Ensuring all brewing equipment is in operable condition or is removed from the process awaiting repair as well as ensuring that Engineering are motivated to provide you with continuity of capable equipment
Communicating technical, operational and organisational changes to the brewing team and providing them with the motivation required to work flexibly and with commitment to drive the success of Sharp’s Brewery
Ensuring that levels of housekeeping are maintained to a standard satisfactory to the Head Brewer
Coordinating daily tasks and manpower allocation to ensure best value for money is obtained from Brewing Team Members, in doing so continually reducing wasted time and over time
Exemplifying a flexible can do attitude to work
Ensuring that all written and computerised records are correctly filled in by brewing team
Maintaining brewing raw material stocks at optimum levels
You will have experience in leading and supervising people and experience of working in a brewing or food environment.
You will also be prepared to study for General Certificate in Brewing with the Institute of Brewing and Distilling
