Pretty Things Beer ….. forgive me for thinking of a bowie classic “Oh You Pretty Things” whilst reviewing this one so wake up you sleepy head, Put on some clothes, shake up your bed, Put another log on the fire for me I’ve made some breakfast and beer. Look into my beer glass and what do I see, A cracking looking beer and a hand reaching down to it. All the flavours came today and it looks as though they’re here to stay. What are we drinking to, more beer for me, more beer for you. I think about a world to come where the beers are drunk by the beer loving ones.
Poured in glass, watched in awe by a puzzled man who questioned, Is beer what we are here for. All the flavours came today and it looks as though they’re here to stay. Appearance is cloudy, appearance is bright copper/orange. Fluffy off white head that lingers is what we were here for. All the flavours came today and it looks as though they’re here to stay. Oh you pretty thing (oh you pretty thing) Don’t you know you’re driving me insane with aromas of big fresh pines and wondrous grapefruit/passionfruit and soft undertones of mango in back. Oh you pretty thing (oh you pretty thing) your peppery notes are sublime and bite on through a bold sticky sweet caramel hit with delicate pales binding together floral undertones and all that on just the nose.
Look at your flavours, See their tastes in smooth creamy notes. Don’t kid yourself they belong to you, They’re the start of a coming race of pale/crystal malts to start. We’ve finished our news with peppery notes that will never outgrown their use. All the resinous flavours came today and it looks as though they’re here to stay. Oh you pretty thing (oh you pretty thing) Don’t you know you’re tropical bites are insane, Grapefruit smacks and passionfruit slaps and a bitterness that lingers in back and a citrus kick full of zesty smack amongst a soft honey finish. So bold, so fruity so flavoursome and true.
Well that was fun i may have butchered a classic Bowie song but i think it gets the point across about this beer being full of punchy big flavours in both the aroma and flavour and having a wonderful colour. So very glad it was a long neck for it meant i had more to enjoy. As my review notes say “Give me a beach, a sunset and this beer”.
