Bootiful: It’s not quite Halloween yet, but that doesn’t mean you can’t start celebrating. There’s a ton of events planned. We have a great, big list right here.

Seasonal: If you haven’t yet, this weekend would be a splendid time to visit a pumpkin patch or corn maze. Check out our extensive list here.

Knock, knock: Grandma, what big eyes you have! All the better to see a free performance of “Little Red Riding Hood” at 11 a.m. and 2 and 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Molbaks, 13625 NE 175th St., Woodinville. Grandma might like it, but it’s intended for school-age children. Donations accepted for Sarvey Wildlife Care Center. Hmmm, do they have any wolves there?

Culture: Learn about Scandinavian culture and traditions at The Daughters of Norway Cultural Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Watch demonstrations such as Norwegian woodworking, rosemaling, krumkaker baking, lefse making, Swedish weaving and gingerbread house making. There will be book and bake sales at the event. Find out more here.

Mill Town madness: The Northwest History Book Discussion Group, hosted by Everett library historians David Dilgard and Lisa Labovitch, will talk about Norman Clark’s “Mill Town: a Social History of Everett, Washington” at 6 p.m. Saturday at the main library’s training room, 2702 Hoyt Ave., Everett. Learn about Everett’s Wobblie past at this free meeting. Call 425-257-8005 for more information.

Beer run: A local fitness group will have its last beer run of the year on Saturday at Scuttlebutt Brewing Co. Register to receive a free drink with $5 event fee. Find out more here.

More beer: The Snohomish Brewfest is Friday and Saturday. You can sample local brewmasters’ wares and enjoy a sausage dinner. Read our story here to get all the details.

Cats and dogs: Have some fun and for a good cause at The NOAH Center’s Harvest Carnival from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. There will be goodie bags, cider press, games, prizes, face painting, inflatables and more. More information here.
